Terms of use
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Shelfsome. By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy. Questions: support@shelfsome.com.
Your account
You must be 15 or older. Use your own email, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
What you post
Your reviews, comments, lists and profile stay yours. By posting them you allow us to store them and show them in the app to the people your settings allow, for as long as they’re up.
Only post what you have the right to share, and mark reviews and comments that give away the plot as spoilers.
Community rules
There is zero tolerance for abusive content or users. Do not post or send anything that:
• bullies, harasses, threatens or impersonates someone;
• attacks people for who they are (hate speech);
• is sexual, pornographic or needlessly violent;
• is spam, advertising or a scam;
• is illegal, or shares someone’s private information.
Anyone can report a review, comment, list or profile, and block people they don’t want to hear from. We look at reports promptly (within 24 hours where we can), remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or delete the accounts behind it.
Book information
Book details and covers come from outside catalogues (Open Library, Google Books, Biblionet) and from readers. They can be incomplete or wrong; tell us if you spot something.
Shelfsome Pro
Shelfsome Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Apple. The price is shown before you buy, and payment is charged to your Apple ID once. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Pro then stays on your account for as long as Shelfsome runs.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules. If a purchase is refunded, Pro ends.
If you subscribed monthly or yearly before Pro became a one-time purchase, your subscription keeps working until you cancel it in your App Store account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date; Pro then lasts until the end of the period you paid for. If a renewal payment fails, Pro keeps working for one more week.
When Pro ends, its extras stop (your public lists turn private), but everything you made stays saved for when you come back.
The service
We work hard to keep Shelfsome running and your data safe, but the app is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under EU and Greek law.
We may change or stop features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app first; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
Law
These terms are governed by Greek law. You can also rely on the consumer protections of the country where you live.
